What a Week?

This week has been full of milestones and notable events, both personal and global.

My niece, Anne began kindergarten—a moment that brought back memories of my own first day at Queen Elizabeth Day Nursery in Tamale. To our surprise, she handled it without tears. We were overjoyed and proud of her bravery on her first day. So remarkable. Meanwhile, my cousin, Martin, also embarked on a significant journey, starting medical school at KNUST-Ghana, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter in his life.

I told him days before he started that his life was never going to be the same. As someone in Healthcare, I know all too well what he's venturing into. I pray to God for his divine guidance on his life. Bless us with long life so we can assist him through it all. He will do well.

Then on Tuesday, I found myself at Jersey City Medical Center for work, navigating a demanding schedule. It was a busy week, filled with the hustle and determination of those of us pursuing our dreams, both near and far.

Beyond personal moments, the world continued to turn. California remains in the grips of devastating wildfires, while Israel and Hamas announced a ceasefire. A word that carries so much hope and relief for both parties. I pray that this will hold.

On the political front, President Joe Biden is wrapping up his term this week as the 46th POTUS. In fact, today was his last official working day in the office. Reflecting on his presidency, it's been a whirlwind of challenges and some achievements over the past four years. As he transitions out, we wish him well.

Now, next week, all eyes from around the world will turn to Washington, D.C., for the inauguration of Mr. Trump as President once more. His return to the nation's capital promises a seasoned perspective, with hopes that this term will see smoother paths than his first. His first term had so many challenges.

Monday is also a national holiday, adding a sense of collective pause before the week ahead. Indeed, what a week it has been, and what an intriguing one lies ahead!

I remain

Pal Ronnie
