Daily Mass Reflection for July 24th, 2025: Glory and Praise Forever 👏

Today’s Psalm proclaims, “Glory and praise forever” . It is a powerful call to worship—a reminder that no matter our circumstances, whether we face sickness, poverty, or broken families, God remains worthy of eternal praise. His glory does not depend on our mood or situation. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever” (Psalm 136:1). In a world that often feels overwhelmed by sin and suffering, this truth grounds us in hope.

In today’s Old Testament reading from Exodus chapter 19, we witness the majesty of God as He descends upon Mount Sinai. “Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly” (Exodus 19:18). This was one of my earliest and most vivid imaginings of God's power when I first read this in high school. The people trembled at His presence, and rightly so—it reminded them, and reminds us still, that our God is holy. When He speaks, even the earth responds with awe. And yet, this same God chooses to dwell with us, not to destroy, but because He loves.

In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 13, Jesus speaks to the people in parables. The disciples asked Him why He used them, and He answered, “Because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand” (Matthew 13:13)

Parables invite the humble and the sincere to seek deeper meaning. They are not just stories, but windows into divine truth, meant for those who listen not just with their ears, but with open hearts. Jesus goes on to say, “Blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear” (Matthew 13:16)

When we approach His words with humility and hunger, He reveals the mysteries of the kingdom.

So today, let us ask ourselves:

Are we giving God the glory He deserves?

Are we standing in reverence like the Israelites at Mount Sinai?

Do we approach the teachings of Jesus like fertile soil, ready to receive the seeds of truth?

Let us live our lives in a way that constantly echoes, “Glory and praise forever!”

Amen.

I hope you have a blessed day.

 Pal Ronnie
