What an honest friend??

An honest cute conversation I had with a friend the other day. I really don’t want to specify the gender else it will make it easy for some reader’s closer to me to know this person. I’m if that will cause some incoherence in the follow of the conversation.
Here we go;

Me: As I was walking out of a shop the other day, I met this friend right at the entrance.

Honest friend:  Hi Ron, how are you?

Me: I’ m fine and you’?

Honest friend: I’m doing really good, and thanks for asking and guess what? I saw you this morning but I couldn't stop to say hi because I was in the middle of “weed”“. And by the way, do you know what that is?

Me: Sure, but I haven’t seen some since I have been around this part of the world.

Honest friend: well, I didn’t want you to catch a scent of it, and believe me it’s a bad herb, addictive and expensive. And so, please don’t ever try it. It takes a greater percent of my entire paycheck, but I really can’t resist it anymore. I have to smoke that every morning to keep me going, but take my advice for it.

Me: really? I asked, well as I told you, I know what that it. I had two of my former junior high school friends whose lives has been ruin with them. I could easily be one of them, but at the time, I knew it's a tough substance and I couldn’t afford it.

Honest friend: Yes Ron, you got it right and you are such a nice guy, and I respect you a lot. Please keep everything up, I had always wondered how you survive around here, all foreign and in strange a land.

Me: I’m trying, it’s hard sometimes but my choices are very limited and I promise I will heed to your advice.

Honest friend: OK! Ron, I have to go now for I have work in about half an hour from now.

Me: OK!, thanks for everything and have a wonderful day. See you later.

Honest friend: Bye Ron.
.....bye, and that was the end of our conversation.

Honestly, I think this conversation is really amazing, and up to now, I still think about it so much. I think it’s not common to have people tell you the truth about things such as these, and the respect attached was simply overwhelming. My respect for this friend in return from that day also quadrupled. He is my true friend though, I don’t know a lot about him/her,lol. Gender non-specific…..
