The Bloke in Town Kills almost 100

Norway of all in a Tragic Massacre
I had always thank God for everything He did for us and more especially the brains He has blessed man with to make life somewhat easy, and at the same time, make our planet very tiny than before in the 21st century. This always sparks so many rhetoric questions in in my poor skulls, and I always wish I could get answers to them as easy as possible.
Well, I’m heading to technology and the world which I often wonders, what is going to happen in the next 10 years to come if only I will be alive to see our level in terms of technology.
On Friday, I had an email from a friend through facebook, and this friend, I met her on twitter, and this I hope will give you a clue of the intro of this article; if it does, great! I’m happy and will say goal met. I have been on touch as she is one fine woman, very respectful and open minded of course. I love woman of such quality.
In the email, she said “sorry a bomb went off in Oslo while I was talking to my daughter on phone”. That was something incredible to have been read at that minute. So I responded quickly to find out whether all was ok, and lo and behold all was fine, though her daughter wasn’t far from the scene. I then responded back with yay!! “Thank God”, but a big damage was done already.  A big damage, in Oslo; the heart of Norway and news of it circulated across the globe in no time all with the help of our modern technology.
Shortly after  I heard from my friend, I began seeing news pooping up about it on the internet and the televisions telecasting the scene live, and I said OMG!, I could report that to a major media for pay, which was one of my jokes by the way.
Now, this was Norway, a country I hardly hear of, but one great nation in the world, I have heard of Norway even as a kid through our little pop we named “No way” and were told the names sounds like a country in Europe called Norway. Norwegians through reading are peaceful and hardly can you hear of civil unrest and the rest chaos, and it’s a prosperous nation on the planet, and many from less developed world go there to seek greener pastures.
They also have good educational system and often offer scholarships to people from other countries like mine, thus Ghana to go and study there and I even know a friend who went and studied there in 2009.
What could the perpetrator of such a callous massacre be thinking or had wanted? Those are some of the questions many seem to be asking and I for one was speechless to know he was only 32 years, and a businessman cum farmer in Norway.
He was believe to have incited the bombing attacks in the city of Oslo and went of to the camping side and sprayed over 68 campers with a gun no one could tell where and how he obtained it.
This bloke was believed to also be an anti-immigrant, racist of a sort and “Islamphobic” even at young age 16, and when this incident occurred, many were thinking it was one of the terrorist attacks that we have had in the world sometimes ago, like the Oklahoma city bombing in 1995, killing 168 people, or like the Fort Hood shooting in Texas in 2009 killing 12 people, and the many other attacks. But was something of its own,
Whatever be the case, I do believe people should learn to use dialogue as a tool and not killing of innocent people to make a point or themselves popular. That is homicide and complete blood bath and need to be held to account for it.
So there we go, this young man has taken into his hands the lives of innocent folks, with his own propaganda and claimed it was for the sake of dying as a martyr for his country since he didn’t like the direction his country was heading. How patriotic that sound in taking away almost 100 lives of your fellow citizens in just some few hours.
I don’t know where such killers are emerging from. Tucson shoot Jared, who killed six people and the wounded many others including congress woman Gabby. It about time we get study and know more about such fellows and help screen them out of the system. We are peace loving citizens of the world and if anybody thinks he/she doesn’t want that and will prefer to be isolated, we will be more than willing to do so for the greater joy of those who loves peace.
We do know they are many misfits in the society and oppose everything that is prescribed for the good of the people. Please, we all need to curios and help the security personnel to protect us or we are doomed. Sales of weapons should be restricted and the rest to help curbs such things. We are know some of the things could always and easily be prevented hadn’t been that we take much precautionary measures. That madman should be docked in tight cells until further notice; I rest here with my condolences to the brief families in Norway. All the dead, may their souls rest in the bosom of our Lord Peace.
Nay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Hot Summer and Man!

Like all four seasons including summer, I for one love them all especially autumn. I used to read about these four seasons while I was in my country. We have only two seasons in Ghana so as other hot tropical African countries. If it wasn’t the dry season, then it was the raining season. There were so different and something unique about each season.
For instance, in the dry season, we had dry and dusty winds being blown from the north of Africa mostly from the desert, I meant the Sahara desert.
And that also earned it its geographical names as I used to say, the North east trade winds and hence was why the winds were so dusty and dry. It got to a time we didn’t have much tree like before simply because most of them were being destroyed for framing, firewood, or for building homes.
Whereas, in the raining season, we had the moist monsoon winds from the south-west coast, and this comes with a greater magnitude of rains and hence the raining season as its name implies. This was when we had crops sown and other farming activities done.
From April – October there were supposed to be uninterrupted rains and the period was used to get all farming and harvesting done before the dry season kicks in. The dry season was also from late October or November through early April since the timing wasn’t very consistent. And even now that we have all these changes which in turn affects the pattern of rain and poor harvest among others. This has also convinced many across the divide about the realities of our so called global warming.
Time goes and time comes and things happens as well, and I one day found myself in another part of the world, where there also have different season, as I believe many other season also exist somewhere on our planet.
Now here we are, and it’s the season and it comes on June 21st as its official date with the sun tilting from its axis on the hemisphere (North and South). And summer comes with its features of longer days and shorter nights and that is great for folks who …to put well are allergic to sleep.
Personally I think summer is a good season since one got to stay fit with a lot of outdoors activities going on. Jogging during summer is fun, you got see every body jogging on and off and it’s believed to be a season of losing weight and winter being the season of gaining weight, entirely opposite and if you looks at it well, it does makes so much sense. During winter, you can’t go anywhere, get stuck in the house by snow and all you do is eat, sleep, watch movies, and use little of no energy.
But summer is really hot as if dwelling in the oven. I laughed when a friend told me; “I cooked an egg in the sun”, and that sounded incredible but somewhat true to believe. Yesterday for instance, the weather news had it that, 17 States in the US, were affected by that incredible heat wave which hit the country. In my part, we recorded an all high temperature of 103o F.  People across the nation were panting if gasping for cold fresh air to breath, cooling centers were also opened. People drinking unstop to stay hydrated among others. AC's at homes stays untouched 24hrs/day. With the situation amazing and seen as an emergency. I was also thinking of people working under this hot weather, and I rendered them all my credits and respect. Remember, the sunlight is good for the skin in synthesizing vitamin D, but don’t be deceive to get entangled in heat such as this sun’s, or you get burned.
Interestingly, I heard many complaining; they rather stay cool and try to warm up, than stay in such hot weather doing everything possible to stay cool. It was natural with human beings. We seem to always complain all the time, and never satisfied with anything. The first quarter came spring, flowers bloomed everywhere, with so much natural beauty on the earth, but allergies from the pollen grains makes people much more uncomfortable and we complained, and there comes summer, very hot and we complain, very soon, we will be in the third quarter which is autumn, known as fall since all the trees shade their leafs “As they falls” and the forth being winter and the cycle continues.
I have seen all and I think I love fall, not because it was the season that greeted me first when I came to town, but its yellowish nature, cool and breezy gives me so much comfort and joy to admire nature.
Hey!! My point of advice this season is that, stay cool and hydrated, cool showers are fun, drinking more water and some soda helps a lot, and waits a minute; did I just say soda? It’s not very healthy, but you can try club soda though the taste isn’t all that friendly. Work out, it’s so much fun and will put you to a good sleep in the night. Enjoy BBQ s where necessary, it’s one beautiful activity of the summer. Though you will always find men barbecuing, just enjoy and don’t ask too many questions.
Leave you AC's on and if the house is too humid, get a humidifier and suck the stagnated humidity out. And believe me; you will be ok this summer. Pool time!!! When it comes, please go and enjoy some swimming, it’s so much fun and a healthy exercise. My grandfather is super healthy than probably you and I , because he swims three time a week. I wish I could swim like him.
Be happy and don’t complain too much for it doesn’t help when you over complain. Try to fix things and don’t blame God or nature for Mr. Hot Summer, but blame yourself for failure to stay cool and hydrated .lol.
Much love peace and respect to you.
Be happyyyyyyyyy!!!! And again comments are welcome.

Long Island

This was in Long Island, as we were over there for little Gina's birthday. She just turned 10.

Actually, this happens to be my third time of been in LI and I did liked it down there. It's even making me consider decisions of going for my post grads studies down there.

I'll keep praying for the Lord's directions and if that is the place, then I will be there for good.
Nay!

Why I love hitting the gym late in the night.

You wondering why Ron doesn't sleep but often in the gym almost all night?. Well the explanation is here.

First of all, I'm always busy in the evening, either at work or home to meet other obligations. But in order not to stay out of shape, I try to meet my daily workout and the best time comes in the night.

One other reason is the gym doesn’t get packed in the night. Many are those who love to have their sleep. So in the night, you don't get to wait to use a machine of choice, but have a full control of everything when you want to.

I'm also able to change TV channels as much as I want, though in the day I could do the same, but people get to judge you on what you watch. My problem of course, is not about being judged, but let's say when I want to watch Bill O'Reilly show, the man next to me, will say so you a conservative or John King on CNN, I will be liberalized right there.

And finally, I got to do my little readings when I get tired without any distractions or whatsoever.
So, that’s Ron and why he is always up late in the gym. But please do remember to stay fit for me, for the benefits in doing so, cannot be over empathize. Keep fit.

Who let the dogs out? Check that out guys

This is one of my favorite fun videos and you and I know know I love to share with you a lot.
Please check it out,lol.

Civil Disobedience

Have you ever wondered why some people are so arrogant, in mind and in their actions? I for one do so a lot. Of course some people are by nature nonconformist and all they do is, take two steps backward when society or government takes one forward. They will never side or find common grounds with government.

I was watching an interview the other day on one of my many channels; I don’t want to mention names here and a young man in his 20s from one of the countries where there has been recent civil unrest. Something he said which stuck my mind even until this day was that “will live the rest of my life on civil disobedience”. If a young kid like him, makes such pronouncement, then having people to agree on issues to let peace reign, will simply be a nightmare. I was so disturbed with his remarks beyond any doubt.

By the way, civil disobedience by definition is the refusal to obey certain laws or governmental demands for the purpose of influencing legislation or government dogma, branded by  resorting such nonviolent techniques as boycotting, restraining, and refusal to pay taxes. When something like this happens, people of civil disobedience are often on the opposite side of everything, and government or authorities tries to use other means to calm them. And those means will involve using forces, the police or military which will eventually escalates into civil war.

Meanwhile nothing of that sort comes without lives and properties getting lost. And that is not to say, be a coward and get oppressed by government or whatever, but dialogue should always be the key in this regard.

Our world could have been a better place without wars; we could also have all what it takes to make the lives of everybody comfortable. I was so sick when I was reading news the other day, where they reportedly said, America is now spending $2,000,000,000.00 a week on the war in Afghanistan. Such is a huge amount of money and could be used at home to build more infrastructures to make life easy.

Right now, a lot is underway to have a lot of services in the nation cut. I do agree the fact that men will always rise against their fellow men, even in the beginning of times, there were wars, and it all came as a result of jealousy and what have you.
Just like Cain in the book of Genesis, he hunted down his brother Abel and the same is happening today in our world after zillions of years ago. Yes it’s still happening but in different forms/versions that without looking at it critically, you cannot tell.

Again, I was listening to yet another telecast, where they said, one library was facing a fore closure in a neighboring State of mine, because there hasn’t been enough funding for it. Can you imagine a place where 1000s of folks go to read, borrow books, recreation and others to enrich their knowledge will be closed?

That is just one of those things we all need to always think about. And all these will partly relegated to civil disobedience, if you fail to settle for things of national importance, it will breed to a level that your people cannot help, but will have to seek help somewhere. Law abiding citizens enjoy a big time peace and freedom. Yes freedom, freedom will certainly not be one where people will be allowed to kill themselves and go scot free. And freedom will not be when you are allowed to take away from your brother what he toils for, but being able to move about freely, express yourself where necessary and be able to have a say in national issues, vote during election and the rest.

Civil disobedience is not the answer here my friend, and there are better ways of getting our petitions channeled for redress by the appropriate offices. I really don’t side with this bloke under any circumstances, but sing our heads to reason and find solutions is the way forward.

Let obedience and peace reign for the planet thirst for those.

Have a great weekend.

Ronald

The Big Court Case of the Land Yesterday!

" I am not guilty
Finally, finally, and  finally, the long  and one of the most sensitive court cases of the land; if not in history was  brought to conclusion, after juries deliberated that, the 25 year old Florida mom being accused of murdering her 2 year old daughter, was found not guilty. The said verdict was likened to a big slap on the faces of many across the nation and the world at large; who were following the case closely and expecting some justice to take its place.
The whole incident started in 2008 after her little girl was believed to be missing and shortly after that, was found dead in the woods with duct tape on her mouth. This however, resulted in her young mom's arrest and thrown into jail with the conviction that she killed her daughter. It could be so or else why didn’t she report to authorities that her daughter was missing but instead the baby’s grandma did?
All things been equal, there was a whole lots of evidence surrounding the missing and death of the poor little girl, and after 3 years in jail, her case was awakened and it became one of the most sensitive cases in modern times that the world had seen. Many also did believed she could face death sentence if found guilty of the crime. Her bodily presentation through out her trials was worth questioning. Since she giggles and laugh, and sometimes she shed tears, of which others will term “the crocodile tears” and so forth. They executed series of investigations into this case, and everything possible on the side of the prosecutors to find her guilty, but some how, her attorneys also worked hard, if that is how we should put it, to secure her another tomorrow.
It was good news indeed, at the end of it all when the verdict was read in the court room, every thing was “no guilty” and everybody was shock. There were millions of people watching the case live. I was busy in town and couldn’t get the time to, but I would have loved to watch. Don’t forget I am a potential Lawyer, and would have used my …. To determine which direction those law professionals were heading.
Things happen and this was certainly one of them. After yesterday, everything from there was great news greeted with joy by her and her attorneys. I heard him, her attorney being interviewed on TV last night and one of the things he said was “I am happy and if I go home today and my daughter ask what I did; I will be able to say, I saved a life”.
To mean that, if he was not able to defend his client's ,  she would have had to face death penalty.
So, the little girl’s case finally came to an end, and the mother is now a free woman. She was only said to have been convicted of one or two misdemeanors and with that, she my have less than a year more to serve in jail since; she has already served 3 full years.
Justice is not for everybody now as far as this case to me is concern; else she would have had her share.
Guess what! Whether she did kill little daughter or not, is between her and her God, the blood of the little girl, if truly was shed by her hands, will follow her until in the end where she will account for it.
Her attitude wasn’t good after the little girl was supposedly missing, she went partying, tattooing, and fooling and these things are what make everybody angry. Remember, action s they say speaks louder than words. And I think she should have gotten some extra years in jail to learn that lessons about life, and that life is precious and when you lose somebody, especially your blood, you don’t go hoodwinking, but instead, go in submission with the help of others to look for the person. Justice must always take effect else, the strong, powerful, heartless ,will BBQ as all.
Thanks for reading.

ENCOURAGE SOMEBODY TODAY

Have you ever thought of the impact you could have on the life of somebody if you say simple words of encouragement to them? It’s amazing and very obvious to know.
Our mouths and so therefore our tongue are powerful tools and are capable of bring people to greater heights and on the other hand can bring them down from greater heights.
We are in a world where everything seems to revolve around us and were egocentrism is the driving force. Sometimes, we tend to forget where we are, and that it’s not everybody who could have the opportunity to be there. Sometimes, we also forget how lucky we are, and fail to do those acknowledgments.
Some people are able to be where they are in life because of the good up bringing that they get at home. The hard work and encouragements that their parents gave them, whilst others also get theirs through the influence of their pals and mentors. Either way it’s the power of encouragement that brought them to where they are.
Tell people, "yes they can"

Many a times, we see people trying so hard because they never had the opportunity to be influenced by anybody, not even their parents. This could be either they lost either parent or bother, or they are divorced family. But because of their self motivation and how they view their world, they try to strive to greater heights. Such people, all they need to make it in life is, to hear a word of encouragement from somebody in a form; “you are such a determined young man/ woman and I bet you will make” such words are powerful enough to bring the fire out of them to rich their self potential. But as humans as we are, sometimes, we fail to look beyond the efforts of people, but make judgment based upon our human eyes.
Atypical examples of discouragement stories two friends shared with me, which I think are strong to also be shared with you my readers.
My friend one day told me that; growing up as a child, she was a little slow in learning and hardly could you hear her speak in class. But she used to work hard to at least pass her test among others. So one day, his Dad went to the school to visit her and after which he went to see her class teacher. And in the course of their conversation, her father accordingly asked the teacher, “how is my girl doing in class?” and according to the father, the teacher responded him saying “your girl is fine, but she is not going to be a college material”. This accordingly hurts her father beyond any reasonable doubt. But the father didn’t say a word, but told the teacher, he is confident his girl will pick up. The father went home and never said a word to his daughter about what he heard from her class teacher.
But all her father does was from time to time, motivate her and say good words of encouragement and inspirations to her. And gradually the girls worked her way to college, and after she received her first master’s degree in psychology, the father dropped the bomb. And she was surprised. The father never gave up on her and she made it at last. And shortly after her first master’s, she went in for yet another master’s degree and, now a full time assistant professor in one of the prestigious colleges in America. She often uses this she said; to motivate her students and will never cease telling them her story.
We will never know the destiny of others not even ours and if we cannot encourage them to work for their destiny, then we dare not say something that will break them down.
The other one was also a nurse friend. For her, her teacher one day told her face to face that; “you are so damn and stupid and cannot be a nurse. This happened after the teacher asked the class what everybody will like to be in future. It’s one the many things teacher do with their students very often, and even when I was in grade school my teacher did asked us the same. And I remembered very well I said MD, Medical Doctor.
Anyway, my friend almost wept when the teacher told her that. And she didn’t let it bog her down, but was very determined to prove her teacher wrong. So, after her high school, she applied for nursing school and was accepted, and knowing that, being accepted she was on her way to be a nurse that she has always wanted. So she made a copy of her acceptance letter and sent it to her teacher with a little note that, she was on her way.
Sooner than she could realize, she was done with her course, and received her diploma, sat for her states board, and one touch, she passed it. She was happy and again made copies of everything and wrote a note to her teacher saying “I loved you for haven’t being my teacher, and one thing I will ever let you know as a lesson is that, never in your life discourage any of your students like you did to me”. She ended my saying, I made it.
These stories so powerful and I didn’t even add mine. So please, our mouths can do others good and at the same time can damage them if much attention is not taken. So please encourage somebody today. It will be good if you do.
Have a Happy Sunday all you my beloved readers.
Ronnie.
