14 Reasons Why They Want Captain Ibrahim Traoré to Go Down: A Wake-Up Call for Africa

1. Economic Growth

From 2022, Burkina Faso’s GDP rose from $18.8 billion to $22.1 billion in under two years—a $3.3 billion increase. That alone is enough reason for enemies of progress to panic.

2. Expelling French Military

He told all French military forces in the country: Get out.

 And they left. France panicked.

3. Debt Clearance

He audited the national files and cleared all local debts. Yes—cleared them.

4. Agricultural & Industrial Independence

He ended tomato importation by building two state-of-the-art tomato processing plants, employing thousands.

He also built cotton processing plants and supported rice, millet, and tomato farmers with direct resources.

5. No More Raw Gold Exportation

He banned raw gold exports. If you want gold, refine it here. He built a state-of-the-art gold refinery.

France is the 4th largest gold reserve holder in the world—but doesn’t have one gold mine. Where do you think they get it? Africa.

6. Free Childbirth

He abolished fees for childbirth—from antenatal care to delivery. You cannot pay to bring life into the world, he said.

7. Free Education

No more school fees from primary to university. He made education free, investing in the future leaders of Burkina Faso.

8. Road Development

Since 1960, Burkina Faso has only built 3,642 km of roads.

In just 2 years, Ibrahim began constructing 5,000 km of new roads and expanded the old ones.

9. Salary Restructuring

He slashed ministers' and parliamentarians’ salaries by 30%.

Then increased civil servants' pay by 50%.

10. International-Standard Airport

He launched a new international airport, to be completed in 2025.

11. Ban on Foreign Aid

He banned foreign aid, saying: Africa is not poor. Stop calling us poor by offering pity aid. We will grow by ourselves.

12. Emergency Response Teams

He introduced 24-hour emergency response teams. Accidents are no longer death sentences. Immediate help, zero rejection, zero fees.

13. Electric Vehicle Initiative

He moved the country toward electric mobility, embracing battery-powered vehicles and innovation for the future.

14. Agricultural Revolution

He launched a national food revolution: 400 tractors, 700 motorcycles, 700 irrigation pumps, and over 200 mechanized tillers for farmers. In just two years, farms flourished, and Burkina Faso became food secure.
