President Obama's State of the Union Speech 2015

For some reasons I am always looking forward the President's Annual State of the Union Address also abbreviated most of the times as SOTU. In this speech the President get to reflect a lot about all the things that went well, and didn't go well in the past year and then make new proposals he intend to work with Congress to bring to light. It does coveres everthing from the economy, healthcare, wars, education, foreign policies, homeland security etc. The speech usually last for about or a little over an hour mostly because of the applause and standing ovations during the speech.

I wasn't in good spirit last night but I made sure I was on time on my TV at 9pm to watch the speech but something interesting happened for the first time ever. The entire speech the President prepared and was about to deliver to the American people and the whole world was up and running on the Washington Post website.

Here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/transcript-state-of-the-union-address-2015-remarks-as-prepared-for-delivery/2015/01/20/fd803c4c-a0ef-11e4-b146-577832eafcb4_story.html

I was hoping that it wasn't true but lo and behold as the President began his speech I watched for it word for word as he delivers. So I was wondering where that was from and why?

Any way a country like America is dynamic and operates on an entirely different scale all together. It could be something new or something up for a test who knows?.

It was clear in the speech that the President got few agendas in the pipeline coming and will work with Congress to execute them. He made it clear that he has no more campaigns which of course was true unless somebody change the 200 year old rules in the middle of the game. That will be "aluta".

By and large I enjoyed and learned a couple of things last night. No country on earth understands the true meaning and pragmatic nature of democracy at work than the United States and that is why I admire the system regardless of all its flaws.

God bless!

Pal, Ron!

Feeling generous in 2015 and wants to do good for yourself and others?

Please help us help others.

It amazes me how much I receive in return when I devote my time, talent, and resources for the good of others. If you have never experienced what that feels like, then you are truly missing something special in this life. Please give, and you will be overwhelmed by how much you receive in return. The Bible says it clearly — it is in giving that we receive. I hold that truth wholeheartedly.

This project was launched to raise funds to help provide clean water for a struggling population in Dazuuri, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana.

Unfortunately, fundraising efforts have not gone as well as hoped. That is why we are reaching out to you, to invite you to be part of this exciting, life changing experience.

Be a part of it. Why not? We need you, and the people in that community need you too.

Here is the link. It is simple and easy to follow. Thank you:

May God bless you and multiply your generous donation fourfold.

Happy 2015!!!

Reflecting on 2014: Loss, Joy, and Hope for the New Year

As I write this, there are less than 10 hours left in this part of the world before we welcome 2015. For some reason, I find myself filled with a sense of anticipation and hope for what the new year has in store.

Looking back, 2014 wasn’t a bad year, though it brought its share of heartache. I experienced the loss of two close relatives—my aunt and my uncle—just six months apart. Their absence was deeply felt, and their memories remain with me.

Yet, amidst the sorrow, life gave us a reason to smile again. In the same year, my niece Angela was born. Her arrival brought a light to our family that helped ease the pain of our losses. She is truly a joy to us all, and her presence reminds me of the beauty of life’s balance—how moments of sadness can be followed by profound happiness.

As 2014 draws to a close, I carry these mixed emotions with me: gratitude for the blessings, remembrance of those we’ve lost, and excitement for the possibilities ahead. Here’s to 2015—a year of new beginnings, challenges, and cherished moments.

Little Angela

As I look back on 2014, I can’t help but mark it as a year of tough luck, especially after July 17th on I-287—a day that will forever remain etched in memory. It was a year of challenges, but also one of perseverance and faith.

Despite the hardships, I hold onto the belief that 2015 will bring something bigger and grander. With every twist and turn, we shall continue to praise His Holy Name, trusting in His divine plan. We may not know where He intends to take us next, but faith assures us that His guidance is unwavering.

As I reflect on the ups and downs of the past year, I also think of you all. I prayed that whatever difficulties you faced in 2014 would be transformed into abundant blessings in 2015. May the new year be a time of renewal, hope, and prosperity for all of us.

Let’s step into 2015 with gratitude for lessons learned and faith in the blessings yet to come.

Happy New Year, and may you laugh, love, and live better than you did in 2014.

God loves you all and so do I.

Pal, Ronald.

Santa Claus is coming to Town!!

Merry Christmas to you all my wonderful readers.

Christmas is such an amazing day to reflect on a lot of things we often think are highly impossible to accomplish especially when we try very much and fail.

The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ is one single most biggest impossible event in the history of our world some 2000 years ago.
But as a believer I know that to man a lot of things are impossible but for God all things are always possible. Life itself is a miracle and I pray that the spirit of Christmas will help us grow in faith and to know that with God all things are possible. Of course there should be exchange of gifts, parcels, meals and fellowship but the spirit of Christmas ought to be alive in us without overly "Santaclausifying" the day and the season.

May we never deviate from the reason this day is here in the first place.

Self -Care is Important

There are so many ways we gather toxicity into our lives on daily basis. This could be at work, home, school, and any place that we get to interact with other people.
Detox!

But the problem comes when we tend to ignore the realities of these toxicities. There are not good for us and our health and we need to acknowledge them and take the necessary steps to helping combat them as much as possible. It can be devoting 30 minutes of our time everyday to zone out, pray or meditate, just do something away from people to regain our sanity. I am not promoting antisocial behaviors as someone who really love people.

That is one simple measure to keep in mind in detoxifying our complex selves. To ignore what is going on in us is definitely a sure recipe for physical, mental, and emotional breakdown.

I hope this helps.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ebola from Africa

This hypocrisy about Ebola is overwhelming. What if some of these problems that comes our way are just to test our attitudes towards one another. I hope we fine something for Ebola soon before we lose more precious souls.
I used the headline above because it was a statement made by somebody well respected educated with a PhD, you name it. I happened to be with this person and then something came up and all I heard was "Ebola from Africa". Apparently Ebola is an African dilemma instead of being perceived as a global threat to public health we are comfortable under our skins in saying it is an African problem. If so, why is the deadly virus now in the United States and Spain? these two are not African countries. It is about time we wise up in our ignorance and unnecessary alienation and territorial mentality.

May we find something potent against Ebola.

Have a wonderful week, pals!
