St. Maximilian Kolbe Feast Day

A Life of Radical Forgiveness –

St. Maximilian Kolbe
Born Raymond Kolbe in Poland in 1894, he joined the Franciscans and took the name Maximilian Mary. He was deeply devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and worked tirelessly to spread devotion to her through publications and evangelization.

During World War II, when the Nazis imprisoned him in Auschwitz, he offered his life in exchange for a man condemned to death. After two weeks of starvation, he was executed by lethal injection.

His act of mercy mirrored Christ’s own love, a love that forgives even to the point of death.

God bless you

Pal Ronnie
